Bringing structure to a growing consumer portfolio through coordinated purchasing, stronger inventory planning and hands-on operational delivery.
The Company
A US-based private equity firm operating a portfolio of consumer brands, each with its own products, suppliers and fulfilment requirements.
As the portfolio expanded, the group needed stronger operational oversight while preserving the flexibility of its individual businesses. The opportunity was to build shared capability where it added value, supported by clear accountability within each brand.

The problem
Acquisitions had brought together businesses with different operating processes, reporting standards and supplier arrangements.
Purchasing decisions were made independently, inventory information was inconsistent and leadership lacked a comparable view of operational performance across the portfolio.
The group needed more than recommendations. It needed someone to coordinate implementation alongside brand leaders, suppliers and fulfilment partners.
The solution
We established a shared operating baseline, giving leadership a clearer view of inventory, purchasing commitments, supplier performance and fulfilment costs across the group.
Working with each brand, we introduced demand and replenishment planning, connected purchasing decisions to cash requirements and established regular reviews of slow-moving stock and upcoming production commitments.
We reviewed supplier and logistics arrangements, coordinated commercial negotiations and introduced shared purchasing where volumes and product requirements supported it.
Alongside delivery, we clarified responsibilities across internal teams and external partners. A regular operating review brought priorities, performance and unresolved decisions into one place, helping the investment team maintain oversight without becoming involved in every operational issue.
